I am sure you’ve gone on walks and stopped to pick up leaves, pebbles and twigs. I really like painting foraged flowers and leaves and watercolor is such a beautiful medium for botanical art! These lovely rust colored flower-scapes have little hints of gold that glint when they catch some sun. Doesn’t it remind you of a quiet afternoon, when the sun seeps into your home?
This series is all about my love for that time, when seasons change and you feel just a little wistful and hopeful all together.

The Indian Golden Oriole, the Oriolus kundoo. is a big ball of the yellow sun wrapped up in feathers. You can never forget a sighting of this bird. I am lucky to have a whole family living in the trees next to my home. The female of the species is a pretty, pale olive.

I love drawing from nature, and as an amateur birder, nothing makes me happier than spotting a bird, or hearing its call. I have a special soft spot for the smaller birds that belong to the order of Passeriformes. These bubs are also called ‘perching birds’ and have a characteristic arrangement of toes that helps them perch better!
