I am so happy to invite you to my first solo exhibition, hosted by the Alliance Francaise de Bangalore from the 23rd to the 25th October. Do come by and take a look at my work.

Patchwork Skies

My toes touch the sky, the wind plays with my hair,

Three little sparrows say I could almost fly.

Sailboat in the Sea

Big blue waves and a little red boat rides the crests. Fluffy cotton clouds, bug eyed crustaceans and rotund paunched sea horses watch over this lone sailor.

My first major publication is launching in October. The printed copy arrived by courier yesterday.  Its a Ruskin Bond for children. It was quite a challenging project for me as I am not exactly great at human figures and dynamic ones at that. Was fun though.

Trees as pink as candies. Clear blue skies and big orange flowers stretching as far as I can see. Playing truant from school to stand and stare at a blackbird in the tree.

Glade of Sunny Pinks

I am working on a new series. All the works will have trees in them. I love trees and totally relate to dogmatix! So the paintings are going to be about trees and life around them. Here are some lines I had written on a train journey long ago…

If there was a tree for everyone of us;

which one would be mine?

The tall, lanky eucalyptus,

the knobbly stray,

or would it be the champa?

Here is the very initial sketch

And the painting.
